My crime-noir-paranomral is out!

I wrote the first draft of this book when I was 23. Now… it is in print.

With thanks to Marianne de Pierres for introducing me to Lindy Cameron of Clandestine Press.

Here it is, the trailer for The Price of Fame

Thanks to my long suffering DH and Jason and Nat Collins who did the music!

Copies of The Price of Fame should be arriving next week. I promise, first thing I’ll do is send out the prize copies to the competition winners who’ve been waiting so patiently.

Am planning on interviewing Daryl about the proces of creating trailers, creativity and art.

A round up of guest blog posts…

The Outcast Chronicles have been released into the wild – I always think of the movie Born Free and the young lions being released into the African plans – and I should have copies of The Price of Fame next week so I have been really busy. Have also  been battling the ‘flu which is going around (still teaching because it is the end of trimester and I don’t want to leave the students in the lurch)  and writing guest posts/interviews.

Just one more blog post…

More Bookplate Pretties!

or Fun with Photoshop!

I’ve been playing around with the covers of my books creating bookplates. The ones I did for King Rolen’s Kin have been really popular and I’ve gone through almost 2000 bookplates. Some I signed and sent to my publisher in the UK, others I signed on the spot at Supanovas around Australia. Here’s the King Rolen’s Kin bookplate.

And since The Outcast Chronicles will be coming out next year, I’ve created bookplates for them as well. Honestly, the covers Clint did were so gorgeous that I couldn’t resist, I had to do 3 bookplates!

I couldn’t forget my paranormal-crime book that’s coming out from ClanDestine Press in March next year. Here’s the bookplate for Price of Fame.

They should all the be printed in for Supanova in Brisbane Nov 4-6th. I’ll have my new bookmarks as well.

No excuse, just wanted to show off my pretties!

Big Girl Squee!

I’ve been sitting on this news for a while and now I can finally tell the world. Just as readers don’t only read in one genre, writers don’t only write in one genre.

I’ve been a fan of the crime thriller with paranormal elements for many years. I loved Laurell K Hamilton’s early Anita Blake books. I devoured Simon R Green’s Nightside series and I’ve always admired Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books.

I’m delighted to announce that  Clandestine Press  will be releasing The Price of Fame (approx March 2012). This is particularly thrilling for me because the publisher, Lindy Cameron,  is an award winning author in in her right and a founding member of Sister in Crime.

Lindy will be one of the Australian Guests of Honour at SheKilda, held in Melbourne, 7-9th October. Kudos to Lindy for starting her Indy Press Genre publishing house, Clandestine Press.

For more on The Price of Fame see here.
